Privacy policy
The short version
- We collect what we need to make and deliver your case: your contact details, address and image.
- We share it only with the companies that help us do that: payments, printing, shipping and hosting.
- No advertising or analytics cookies, and we never sell your information.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time: contact@cloth.app.
This policy explains how CLOTH, run by Bunker Fox Labs of North Carolina, USA(“we”, “us”), handles your personal information when you use our store and order a case. Bunker Fox Labs is responsible for your information (the “controller”). Contact us at contact@cloth.app.
What we collect
When you design a case
- The image you upload, and the print files we make from it for your phone model. Please don't upload images with other people's personal information unless they're happy for you to.
When you order
- Your email address, and your phone number if you give it (the courier may use it for delivery).
- Your name and shipping address.
- What you ordered, what you paid, and your order's progress.
- Payment confirmation from Stripe, such as your card brand and its last four digits. Your full card details go straight to Stripe and we never see or store them.
When you visit
- Basic technical information that our hosting provider records for every visit, such as your IP address, browser and the pages requested. It's used to run and protect the store.
How we use it
- To make, ship and support your order, and to email you about it: when it's confirmed, at each step of making and shipping it, and when it's delivered.
- To handle cancellations, refunds and warranty claims.
- To prevent fraud and keep the store secure.
- To keep the records that tax and accounting laws require.
We don't send marketing emails, and we don't sell or rent your personal information or share it for advertising.
If you're in the UK or the EU: we use your information to carry out our contract with you (your order), to meet legal obligations (such as tax records), and for our legitimate interests in running a safe, working store (such as preventing fraud).
Who we share it with
Only with the companies that help us run the store and deliver your order, and only what each one needs:
- Our print and fulfilment partner makes and ships your case. It receives your image and print files, your name, shipping address, email and phone number. It works from production sites in the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia and South Korea, and your case is made at the one that serves your country.
- Shipping carriers (such as UPS, USPS or DHL) receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your parcel.
- Stripe processes your payment, under its own privacy policy.
- Hosting and storage: the store runs on Vercel, with our database on Turso and files on Cloudflare.
- Parcel tracking: 17TRACK receives your tracking number, postcode and country, to follow your parcel with the carrier so we can tell you when it's on its way and when it's delivered.
- Email: Resend sends the emails about your order.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public, or with a buyer if our business is ever sold.
Where your information is kept
Our store and the companies above are mainly in the United States, and your case may be made in another country. Where the law requires it, for example for information from the UK or EU, these transfers are covered by safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your order details, including your image and its print files, while we need them for your order and its 1-year warranty, and then as long as tax and accounting laws require us to keep records. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will, except for what we have to keep by law.
Cookies and storage in your browser
We don't use advertising or analytics cookies. The store keeps two things in your own browser:
- your case design in progress (the phone, case and image you chose), so it's there when you come back;
- the details you've typed at checkout, until you place the order or close the tab.
These stay on your device; clearing your browser's site data removes them. Stripe may set cookies on the checkout to prevent fraud.
Keeping it safe
The store uses encrypted connections, your files are kept in private storage, and our print partner gets your print files through private links that expire. Only the people who run the store can see orders.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct it if it's wrong;
- delete it, or stop or limit how we use it;
- send it to you or another company in a common format.
Email contact@cloth.app and we'll respond within the time the law requires, usually within a month. We won't treat you differently for asking. If you're in the UK or the EU, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The store isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make that clear on the store.
